Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz were partying it up with her brother, Alejandro Sanz, a few weeks ago in Miami. Clearly they didn’t care what cameras caught them relaxing together. We’ve been wondering why Ms. Keys has been hiding out ever since the news broke of her being Swizzy’s mistress and the cause of Swizz and Mashonda’s divorce. And it looks like she was trying to let the drama die down before she took this ish public.

CD Review: Prince’s Lotusflow3r
The good news is that Lotusflow3r is the best Prince album since 2004’s Musicology. It’s his most guitar- and rock-oriented in years — perhaps ever — and includes a few songs that deserve consideration for the upper echelon of the Prince canon.
The not-so-good news is that Lotusflow3r is inconsistent and acts as a general reminder that Prince’s genius appears to be a spasmodic proposition. Lotusflow3er, part of a three-CD set sold at retail through an exclusive agreement with Target, is further proof that we’re not likely to get anything like a masterpiece from the mercurial artist again.

CHRIS BROWN’S OFFICIAL STATEMENT!
Finally, Chris Brown has just issued an official statement through his spokesperson concerning the assault situation with Rihanna . This is indeed a real statement and not a hoax like others have been posting from fraudulent Facebook/Myspace pages. The statement was issued directly to media outlets from his PR reps at Sitrick And Company, Inc. It reads in its entirety:
“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”

Suge Got Knocked The F&*# Out…AGAIN!
Well All-Star weekend isn’t complete without a hood ass fight at an afterparty. Suge Knight–once again–got punched in the head twice at an All-Star afterparty last night at the W hotel in Phoenix. The man arrested for the dirty deed is Robert Carnes, Jr., who claims he’s Akon’s manager! Damn!
Apparently a fight was abrew in the VIP section at the W when some party goers warned security something as about to go down. When security showed up, they sa Suge getting knocked twice in the head. Carnes has been charged with felony aggravated assault. Felony because of the severity of the Suge’s injuries. Damn homie.
Suge got knocked out about 9 months ago outside a club as well. So I have several questions. But right now I can only find the words for two: WTF was SUGE KNIGHT doing in somebody’s VIP section and how in the hell are random people knocking this big ass dude out left and right when everybody used to be too scared to even sneeze in his direction? Whats really hood in ‘09?

After suffering the loss of her mother, brother and nephew, Jennifer Hudson is making her return to the music spotlight, and we've got photos of her at work on her new music video.
Hudson has filmed a video for her single "If This Isn't Love," which is set to premiere the week of Feb. 9. The 27-year-old Oscar winner will also sing the national anthem Sunday at the Super Bowl.

Bring out those perfectly manicured claws. Kanye West talked to media outlets yesterday about his upcoming 808s and Heartbreak album. And when he was asked the motivation behind “Love Lockdown”, he said “This is a wakeup call … people in music get comfortable … Rappers get comfortable.” Then he said that’s exactly what happened to Beyonce. When Rihanna hit the scene B had to step her game up:
Kanye said that B did this with her new video “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).” He raved about the vid saying he never would have come up with that concept himself. Now we all know Mr. West rarely means any harm by the things he says–he just likes to speak his mind. But damn if this one isn’t going to cause a catty broken nail or two. I wonder if any of this stems from Ye and Rih Rih’s alleged recent and very public make out session. *pops popcorn and waits on the show*

R.I.P Isaac Hayes
Isaac Hayes was found unconscious by his wife in his home. An ambulance was called, and he was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital East. He was pronounced dead shortly after...Hayes was 65 years old. He had been in declining health for quite a few years, but always managed to play an active role in the music community. His talents, humility, and charity will be missed.

She has been dating her rich, investment-banker beau John Utendahl, 50, for two years. According to the site, the source was an employee and had spotted Tyra coming into the office for the meeting. 'Dark Knight' Trounces Spidey With $158 Million
The much-anticipated superhero thriller ‘The Dark Knight’ broke the weekend opening record by earning $158.4 million, shattering the previous record set last year by 'Spider-Man 3,' Warner Bros. estimates showed.
Speaking about the record-breaking opening, Christian Bale told Britain's GMTV such amounts of money are hard to fathom. "It's Monopoly money to me – I can't even comprehend it." The star said studio financial expectations don't really affect him before his movies come out. "I always actually approach every movie as though no one is ever going to see it," he told GMTV.
